According to the factual basis, OLVANY admitted that he was the source of a quantity of heroin that was ingested and ultimately led to the overdose death of a 21-year-old male on February 4, 2008.
OLVANY faces a maximum term of imprisonment of twenty ( 20 ) years, a fine of $1,000,000, and three ( 3 ) years of supervised release following any term of imprisonment as to both counts. Sentencing has been scheduled for April 22, 2010.
The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys William J. Quinlan, Jr. and Maurice E. Landrieu, Jr.
